Serious road warriors are now
spoiled for choice with superb
thin and light models available
from all the major laptop brands.
This Acer makes our list for its
handsome looks and by providing
a great user experience. Despite
being less than one centimetre
thick, the all metal chassis creates
a rigid, sturdy platform, and the
chemically-toughened Gorilla
Glass on the screen provides
some extra peace of mind.

What’s missing?
Like all top-end ultrabooks, it has
barely enough ports: just two USB-C
ports and no HDMI. The key caps
could easily be made bigger. There’s
no backlighting on the keyboard:
a potential deal-breaker for some.
As thin as a pad of paper, this makes
for a great business travel companion
